    Yokohama
Our facility is located in downtown Yokohama, one of Japan’s largest cities with a population of 3.5 million. Located 30 minutes south of Tokyo, Yokohama was among the first cities in Japan to open to the West.  Boasting both centuries-old temple buildings and the tallest skyscraper in Japan, Yokohama is a fascinating mix of Japan’s past and future.

    Course Overview
The program offers 4 hours of classroom instruction for 5 days in speaking, reading, and writing Japanese for beginners (under 1 year experience studying Japanese). Students will also have the chance to use their new language skills in real-world activities.  Program participants will also experience aspects of traditional Japanese culture such as calligraphy and tea ceremony through demonstrations and hands-on instruction.

    Arrival and Accommodation
Upon arrival in Japan participants will be met at the airport by a staff member who will escort them to their hotel where they will have shared accommodations (2 participants/room) for six nights.  The hotel is within walking distance from the school. Participants will also spend one night in the home of a Japanese family.

    Cost
Program cost is $625.  This includes all tuition, airport transfers, activity costs and hotel fees. It does not include airfare or meals.
